I had a mermaid style dress and had French bustle put in and it was really gorgeous in all of the photos.  I liked that I didn’t have to worry about my train at that point and it looked really elegant on my dress. I think you should get a bustle, otherwise you will have to drag your train around all night and worry about other people stepping on it while you are walking around and dancing.

I work in a bridal shop and have seen gowns very similar to yours bustled many times over. For tulle I find ‘French Bustles’ attractive and very effective in not distoring the delicate fabric. Also they hide the ‘points’ better than an ‘American’ or ‘English’ bustle. I tried to find a dress with a similar shape to display a french bustle for you.

The last wedding I was at the bride didn’t bustle her dress and it was super tacky.  She was running all over the dance floor, no shoes with and just holding her dress up with this loop around her finger and the train bunched up.  My description might not sound that bad or petty, but it wasn’t classy or elegant at all.  It didn’t help things she was like 9 months pregnant too, lol.  It was a hot ghetto mess, and made me realize having a bustle is a must.
