I don’t have one. I have 3 close friends, and I could never pick just one of them to be my maid of honor. So I am just not doing it. We decided to have a small bridal party so they are my only bridesmaids and they are all happy with that, and I am too.

One of the reasons I picked my Maid/Matron of Honor was because she was closest to me physically (we live in the same area, the others are in other states) and also because she’s been an Maid/Matron of Honor before. So she’s experienced and I knew she’d be the best to help me with my wedding. We’re also probably the closest right now. But she’s not my *best friend* or anything.

I only have a Maid/Matron of Honor because I knew one of my friends would give me tons of help, guidance, and support through everything and wanted to make sure was thanked in a special way.  If she wasn’t in the picture, I probably wouldn’t have picked anyone because none of my other b’maids would be that supportive and I’m not as close to any of them as I am her.  I feel like Maid/Matron of Honor is a way to give someone special and important to you the regonition they deserve, if you don’t have somebody who deserves it, don’t have one.  If you have two people who deserve it, have two MOHs.  It’s your wedding and you should do what you need/want to do to be happy.

Seeing as FH is my best friend and he  can’t be my Maid/Matron of Honor, I don’t have one. Just two close friends. Haven’t decided which one will be our witness…perhaps my mom will be.
