You definitely don’t have to! Why not do some cupcakes and do a cupcake tower so your guests will still get cake? Then you won’t lose the “cutting the cake” aspect either by adding on a small layer up top.

Just a suggestion, whatever you do is TOTALLY your choice! It’s your wedding! πŸ™‚

You do not have to have cake. It sounds like your candy buffet will take care of people’s sweet teeth. Adding cookies is a great idea!

You could have pie..?

Someone on here had one, it looked delish πŸ™‚ you def don’t HAVE to do cake, but you wouldn’t be able to do the cake cutting ceremony

We are having pie!  He doesn’t like cake/cupcakes, and we both really love all kinds of pie…so maybe like a pie buffet

We had multiple kinds of cupcakes on a beautiful wood and glass stand that we made and then lots of cookies and mini cheesecakes. Darling Husband and I had a small cake that we cut but it was mainly for show of my toppers.. my sister made it, she worked with a caterer years ago, so she can decorate a Duncan Hines cake to look fancy πŸ™‚

I think I would prefer a candy table! I think they’re so beautiful and unique. Especially the ones with the glass jars. We considered having one, but decided on cake with candy favors. I’m a cake fanatic, though!

You can do as you like, but keep in mind that the food is for your guests, not jsut you and your husband-to-be, so consider some type of dessert perhaps beyond just candy… cupcakes, pie, brownie sundaes, etc. As a guest, I’d personally want a dessert that was better than just a cookie, but that doesn’t by any means mean that you have to have another dessert option.

I don’t think you need to have one! Having any kind of sweet treat would be totally fine.

I have seen a few times a big box made of chocolate and then have lots of truffles inside. cute and different? or maybe have 3 round cheeses layerd up to look like a cake and biscuits on side?

I’m skipping a cake too! Neither of us care or need to have a picture cutting a cake!

I agree! πŸ™‚
