Im on a really tight budget and all the favors i see on websites i dont really care for. i cant think of anything to give out and never really understood why you have to do that anyway. do you really have to have them?

Nope. You don’t. I didn’t and I don’t think anyone even noticed.

Nope. I didn’t. No one noticed.

I disagree – I want my favor!
Just kidding, totally agree with PPs.

Most people wouldn’t notice if you don’t have them!!

I disagree, I really think you should have favours. They don’t have to be much but I feel like you should do something.

@jbbs1222: I think most people around here would say no. Favors can be a nice touch (especially if they’re edible), but it’s likely that no one will even notice if you don’t have them.

@jbbs1222: As the recipient of some comically crappy wedding favors I vote skip it. I won’t make fun of you for giving me nothing, but a really bad favor gets mocked.
I’m looking at you, pink ceramic swan with 4 jordan almonds inside.

@jennmariee: “pink ceramic swan with 4 jordan almonds inside” HILARIOUS!

No, you don’t have to do favors. I would never go to a wedding and be disappointed if I didn’t receive a favor.

i always thought those almonds were nasty! i have yet to find anyone who likes them. if anything maybe do some little baggys of candy. its cheap and easy. my FI’s cousin just had a wedding we went to and they had these amazing carmel apples they gave out but they are filthy stinkin rich. lol. we could always just buy a few bags of hersey kisses and scatter them on the tables.

Nah I feel like most people don’t even notice whether you have them or not. I am, but I didn’t originally plan to… it’s sorta only incidentally. (It’s gonna be a hot day so I’m making hand fans available.)

I’m donating to charity in the name of my guests. However little it is, I think it’s a classy touch and guests can’t argue with that one.
