Yes, everyone who received an STD needs to receive an invite.  People’s plans change all the time and maybe they can attend afterall.  When you hand out the invites, I would say something like “I know you said you couldn’t attend, but here’s an invitation just in case plans change.”

Hmm, I guess it depends on how close you are to them?? I probably would give them a formal invitation anyways and jsut say something like “I know you said you couldn’t make it, but I wanted you to have this just in case your plans change!”

@RunsWithBears:  —> THIS

And you could add, “And we know you’d love to have one as a souvenir”

As YES some people actually like receiving mail, Wedding Invites etc.  NO ONE wants to feel they were left out of getting the big news in person, seeing all the details etc.  Even those who know they cannot attend.

Hope this helps,

@sharontobemarried:  I think I would tell them that I wanted to give them an invite anyway, in case anything comes up and they decide they can come, if not you wont be hurt by it and they can respond via the rsvp inside!

@This Time Round:  +1

I had one couple in this situation and I sent them one anyway, cause it’s not like I didn’t have enough.
