I would not do this either. pps have offered lots of good ways to handle it. For her to expect/demand it is ridiculous!!!

You absolutely don’t need to stay with her.  In my SIL’s wedding, I was the only one who had a date at the wedding (DH), and I stayed in the hotel with him.  I wouldn’t pay for a hotel room and then go stay somewhere else!  It’s your trip too, and you have every right to stay in the hotel with your husband.

Nope. Ridiculous demand on her part.  I had one bridesmaid stay the night before – but that was because she is my sister, my parents had booked an apartment and she was staying there with her husband anyway! No way would I have asked my other bridesmaid to sleep over – she has two kids and it’s just not necessary anyway.

Katie1992:  Nope, she’s overdoing it with the sleepover. The way she addressed your SO rubs me the wrong way, too. I like the suggestion to let her know you already have a room set up and ask what time you should meet her in the morning.
