I didn’t use script. We are getting married on a Ranch, so these fonts seemed appropriate. If you are having a casual wedding I wouldn’t make your invitations too fancy, it could mislead your guests.

Use whatever you want, its your wedding. I used a playful script, and thats exactly what my guests have commented about. Use whatever will fit your wedding. Don’t worry about what you are or aren’t supposed to do. Here are mine:

You don’t have to use a script, and mixing fonts is totally fine. You can google “how to mix fonts” and get a lot of helpful results too.

Agreed with everything that’s been said. I would also look through dafont.com and places like that before you decide–I’m really tired of seeing the same fonts on everything. :

@mvg120 we are Font twins!! im using the carnival freakshow font too! i asked myself the exact same question when i was designing ours!! ive coupled mine with Channel and Centaur to give a nice mix of Quirky, curvy and plain text.

Ours are a mix of typewriter and some casual cursive (I don’t know the name).  I’m using the typewriter font throughout the wedding (RSVPs, place cards, programs).  I couldn’t find an exact or close enough match to the cursive font to incorporate it anywhere else, so I stuck with typerwriter.
