We are having a destination wedding, and my FI’s grandparents aren’t able to attend. Do I put their names in the program or leave them out? My mom says not to include them since they aren’t there, and that’s what I was thinking, but I don’t want to offend FI’s family.
What would you do?

Personally, I would still find some way to recognize them. Maybe you do a little thank you note on the program that thanks all the guests who traveled to be there and recognizes all the family (including the grandparents) who have shown love and support but were unable to attend.

We put both sets of DH’s grandparents’ names in the program, even though neither of them ended up being able to make it. The way we saw it was that no one would ever get upset that we included them, whereas the opposite was NOT true.

I would include them, your supose to do all sets of parents/grandparents if they are present or not.
