My ring looks like this, but isn’t that exact ring. The actual matching band from the same designer would cost $1900. We don’t have the budget for $1900 right now. Basically a plain band doesn’t fit right because the prongs stick out and prevent the band from laying flat (sorry if that’s confusing). Can stores like Kay’s and such make a custom band, do they have rings with slight curves already and I’ve just over looked them or should I try a private jeweler?

Yes they have countour bands. I found these at Zales.com. They have many more!

I have the same “problem” with my e-ring. The sides are almost exactly like that and stick out a little. I got a straight band anyways and there’s jsut a tiny tiny gap that is barely noticible and looks pretty flush. Have you tried a straight band on?
