I met with mine the week before – just to double check everything. I’m glad I did too. I didn’t think I needed to but it was amazing how much better I felt after leaving.

We set up layout and seating way before that – at like the 6 month mark.

I think it would be helpful to meet up with the coordinator before the day of, if anything, for your own peace of mind.  You should make sure to provide all the information about seating charts and layouts, since you are the one that has the guest list.  Once your coordinator has the list, they can usually take it from there!

I definitely did. With the coordinator in the hall and the florist at the same time. I would have been hyperventilating if I hadn’t. I think it’s typical and usually people do.

yes! you totally should meet your coordinator at the venue beforehand. at the very least you have to check out the room and see if the venue made any improvements or udpates. you can work out layout with or without your coordinator, but you’ll have to handle the seating chart since you’re the one who knows who should sit with whom.

yes and I am surprised that coordinator has not followed up with you either by email or phone.  Call her and set up an appointment to go over everything and meet at the space.  you should know the table layout, the flower arrangement and how the tables will be set and how the ceremony space will be set up as well.  get on her case!

Agreed with PPs. Talking NOW to just go over things is a great idea, and you should probably at the very least do a walk-through of the venue together the day before.
