@Trish2008:  Honestly, I would. Being that you are in a tropical climate, in August, and serving soup. I would be warm and a salad would be refreshing. Also, knowing more about your menu would help us. And make a poll so we can vote =)

well if its inside with aircon soup will be fine. and then no, you dont need a salad course

if it was outside and hot id skip soup in favor of salad

Oooh, I remember, it was sour cherry soup!  It wasn’t too sweet, so was definitely a chilled soup rather than like eating dessert.

@Trish2008:  I don’t think you need a salad if you have a soup. I agree that the weather will tell whether it is appetizing though.

I would have salad but not soup.

Depends on what kind of soup. I’m a soup lover even when it’s hot. Salad can be kinda boring.

Traditional salad does not seem popular in Jamaica a fruit sald may be a nice option instead of a soup.

I think as long as you have a vegetable option, you are fine.

I would have salad because I think you need some veggies.  And you don’t really have any on that menu at least.

OMG I love mannnish water, have not had it in YEARS…  btw my cousins brought black cake to my wedding and I thought I hated it but it was so delicious and I only got a very tiny piece as it was all pretty much gone. I LOVE your menu and wish I was coming to your wedding…years since I’ve eaten curry goat 🙁

Oh and your menu seems complete to me.
