Originally we planned a simple courthouse wedding with a reception next day, then it became a backyard wedding when my aunt from the Philippines volunteered to make me a gown. Then there was concerns about parking, safety issues, noise, rain, July Texas heat FH and Future Brother-In-Law thought it will be wise if we rented a venue. Well I couldn’t find anything here in FW texas for under $2000 for a venue, and that is excluding food. Anyways out of the blue, one of my patient this morning heard me complaining about it, and she offered me to use their church for my wedding, all she asked is $250.00 to cover for the cleaning, electricity, and the guy that will play the music. Now I’m thinking here is my gown, is it too much if I wear a veil, I mean will it look weird if I wore a veil, since it doesn’t really look like a wedding gown?

That totally looks like a wedding gown! If you’d like something veil-like and traditional, what about a birdcage?

Um. What do you mean it doesn’t look like a wedding gown? Because… I’m totally saving this picture for inspiration when I get mine made! If you wanna wear a veil I say go for it! The dress is just lovely.

I called my aunt, and she got all excited about it, and knowing her I know she will go all out on the veil. We had to stop her at the beginning of making my gown she wanted to make a princess gown, so she was a little bit disappointed about that. But this time we will let her have her way.
