First of all, I was dead set against wearing any kind of veil. Then I changed my mind and decided I liked birdcage veils and NOW I’ve fallen in love with long, dramatic veils. mainly because I want some photos like this:
Problem is I already have all my accessories and I loooove them but I think if I wore a veil I might be ‘over-accessorized’ if that makes sense?
This is my dress:
This is my haircomb and bracelet:
I will be wearing a pair of diamond stud earrings also. So what do you think? Should I go for a veil or not?

I think if you want to wear a veil, then wear one!! If you’re worried about being “over accessorized” don’t be…if there’s one day to go over, it’s definitely your wedding day!! I think your ensemble will look stunning with a veil, no way would it be over accessorized. Gorgeous dress by the way!

Do you “need” a veil? No, the dress is gorgeous on its own.
However, I love veils, and seriously, what other day in your life (unless its Halloween), do you et to wear something like that. If you want to wear a veil, do it! They are so beautiful!

I think all veils should be dramatic but that’s just my taste. I think a long cathedral veil would be awesome with your dress!

Your dress is begging you for a long dramatic veil! 😀 Gorgeous dress, and I love long veils!

You don’t need a veil, but a simple, cathedral-length silk tulle veil would look stunning and not over-powering.

Thanks ladies! Would a lace edge be too much? Or should I stick to a plain tulle veil? What length?

Long and simple like the photo you put up would be perfect. I would avoid lace, your wedding dress is sleek and GORGEOUS!! Simple long veil will be perfect!

@auburnaubrey: Depends on how formal your wedding is, I would say. If it’s more casual, you might be over-accessorized. If it’s fancier, you’d probably be okay.

OMG that dress would looke AMAZEBALLS with a cathedral length veil! Go for it! When are you EVER going to be able to wear a veil again? Haircombs, statement necklaces, even fascinators can be worked into other events, but a veil? DO IT.

Ok long plain veil it is! My mom will be super happy. She was literally begging me to consider wearing a veil only a few months ago 🙂
