@Jamcnair:  Just do a plain white  gold band. They’re inexpensive, and then you will have the option to wear it alone.

Beautiful ring! I think it can stand on its own just fine without a band.

@Jamcnair:  It’s not strange at all.  Several of my friends did the same thing.  A few had a set similar to yours where the “wedding band” was a wrap or a band that was set in the engagment ring so they had the whole set blessed and set on their fingers.

I agree with the plain band option.  Especially if you want to get something like tungstun.  I got mine from weddingringhotline.com but my Darling Husband got his from overstock.

I think you should just get a thin, straight, white gold band. It would look great next to your current ring and you could wear it alone.

It’s a beautiful ring and you could really go either way. Let us know what you decide!

I think a band would ruin the aesthetic of your ring. If I saw your ring, I’d wonder if it was part of an interlocking set with the band already a part of it.  You don’t need one if you don’t want one!  You could have a plain band you wear instead on days well you’ll be doing rough work or travelling.  You could also wear a band on your other hand.  Very cool unique ring, btw.

It already looks like a bridal set to me… so I wouldn’t add another ring,

“it came with an enhancement piece that fits into the main ring that I wear with it”

is that technically the interlocking wedding ring maybe?

As for having your Fiance put it back on you during the ceremony, no that wouldn’t be weird at all.  Most women with interlocking sets have their rings soldered together prior to the actual wedding, and the whole thing goes back on their finger during the ceremony.

No, I don’t think you need one. Your ring is gorgeous alone!

Nope! I’m not even getting one for my ceremony (to save on costs.) I don’t think it’s necessary!

Can you take the “enhancement” off the day of and have that be “the band” that your husband slips on?

I agree with having the interlocking piece be the wedding band!
