So I am giving out water bottles with personalized lables before the ceremony, because it’s going to be outside and probably hot. The card place holders are something that they can take home. Do you think I should still have a regular favor or those two things “count?”

Favors are completely optional. It’s sweet of you to provide water since it might be hot, and how cute to have personalized labels!

No! Wedding favors usually suck anyway.

The personalized water bottles are already a great gift! I personally don’t ever remember what wedding favors I get when I attend other people’s wedding. Most of them end up in my junk drawer, unfortunately.

I’m not a fan of favors as they usually end up being a waste of money, guests rarely take or use them.
That being said, we’re still having favors because some older family members (who are paying for much of the wedding) insist that it’s horribly rude not to have favors. We’re just doing little candy things.

That’s more than enough! I agree that most wedding favors are pointless, especially if they’re non-edible. A bottle of water is about the only thing I would really love to get, if anything so I could drink it once I got back to the hotel.

We didn’t do favors and it was fine. They are not necessary.

You will be fine with no favours.

No, you don’t need favors. I gave out favors and set them on a table next to the gift table, a lot of people forgot to take one and no one complained about not having favors or even asked for them. Biggest waste of 600 dollars.

@Rubbs: +1. I only like the ones that I can eat right away 😛 I won’t turn down a truffle.

Nope. No one even took ours home except my grandma, because I forgot to tell them to.
