Most of the girls in my family didn’t buy parents, readers, and a few others gifts – they kept it limited to their wedding party. But I’ve noticed on here, most people do! We have cards for our parents and will be getting them parents’ albums after the wedding …is that enough? I mean, they are paying for the wedding so I totally understand they deserve a gift, we just have no idea/hardly any time to get them something. And I also saw someone say they got their readers from the ceremony gifts – is this normal? Help! I have less than a week lol 🙂

Typically anyone who participates in the wedding should get some kind of thank you, even if it’s just a heartfelt note. As for the parents, I do think they should be given gifts, especially if they’re paying for the wedding.
ETA: This is just my opinion but I don’t love the parent album idea as the gift. Although, I’m probably in the minority since I know dozens of people who have done it. Maybe it’s just becuase our parents aren’t the sentimental type but we opted to get them gift certificates to bnbfinder.com (it’s a site that sells gc’s to thousands of b&b’s all over the country). They never really get the oppertunity to get away so we wanted to gift them with a mini vacay.

I think you’re fine. Future Mother-In-Law is one of our readers and my aunt is the other. We’re be giving both of them a card and letter to thank them.
