I finally convinced my mom that having cupcakes instead of wedding cake would not the weirdest thing ever. But for whatever reason, she heard that people provide little takeaway boxes for the cupcakes and now she won’t stop talking about them. If we’re using cupcakes as the wedding cake and are not serving any other desserts, do we need to provide the takeaway boxes? I guess there are some guests who may not want the cupcake then and there but would it be rude if we just let other guests eat their cupcakes? On that note, should we buy extra in case some guests want more than one cupcake? And if we do need boxes, how many should we get for a wedding with approximately 135 guests?
Haha, loads of questions there that don’t really matter but this is the kind of stuff I start wondering about when the Fiance is out of town for a few days… 🙁

i dont think you NEED those boxes. i mean for regular cake people dont provide doggy bags!
i think itd probably be something extra. i would def order more than 135 cupcakes. we ordered extra cake. some people will eat none and some people will have four 🙂

I don’t think you need take away boxes. I’d never heard of that. I’m not sure about numbers, but it would probably get really spendy to buy all those extras…people should be fine with one! If you do decide on boxes, I would get about 80? Not everyone will want to take one.
Honestly, though, I’d save yourself the worry and just stick to your original plan.

Good point, trixicatt! I’ll just treat it like regular cake. Maybe I’ll get a dozen extra for those who are gluttonous (like the Fiance, haha) and those who don’t eat their cupcakes will just have to miss out on the deliciousness!
