Mlim :  im sure you’re fine if they don’t come off when you shake your hand as you said. My rings range from loose enough to spin and clink together, to so tight i don’t think I’d get them off if i tried, depending on the time of day, weather, and what activities I’ve been doing. When they are loose i have moments of wanting them smaller but when they are tight i realize that would likely be a bad choice.

If it’s comfortable and not flying off your hand, leave it.

I’ve always thought that “it has to give you a little fight and take several seconds to get off” line bullshit in the first place.  That has never been true of any ring I have ever owned and I have had zero problems.

It sounds fine, I would not resize.

Definitely stick with the 5. I had the same issue with mine and the same exact size as you. I sized it down to a 4.75 and when my hands would swell or it was a little warm outside they were way too tight. But the 5 felt perfect and when it’s cold they aren’t tight but not falling off either.

I sized mine up by a quarter. My finger size fluctuates. If it feels too big you can get one of those temporary ring size adjusters

I wouldn’t size up epecially if you are adding a wedding band when you get married. My ring is a tad big by itself but fits perfectly with a wedding band. If you size down, it may be too tight with 2 rings on vs just the engagement ring.
