(Closed) Do I need to include printed directions w/ our invitation?

Are your guests techno-savy? If so, I would not include it.  If you only have a handful of guests you know aren’t (older relatives) then I would do a map/directions card for them.  For the Bay area I would only do directions from SFO and SJC. I don’t think many people fly into Oakland.

We aren’t having a destination wedding, but I did include a very simple map in the invites. Only to let people know the road to turn on OFF of a main road. If it’s going to be inexpensive to do it, I would. But it’s totally up to you. People will find it either way, whether or not you add a map. So if you want to save a little $$ don’t do it! But, if you want the older folks to get a better idea of where it is…def. add 🙂

We are, even though we have the information online. We have guests who don’t use the internet, and need to know the side roads and which roads to turn on to get to the ceremony & reception. We’re going to print it out on our own, so it won’t cost anything except paper & ink.

Yes. If you want guests to show up, you need to include printed directions in the invites. Also, written directions are easier to follow for most folks than picture maps.
