I am so glad you posted this because I am struggling with the same.  I was going to tip 15%.

There is a really good article about this on the knot website.  Is the resort you are getting married in Jamaica All Inclusive to where some of this is already covered?

I tipped my hair and make-up person like I would at any regular salon.  My reception had the tip for the waiters already factored into the bill.  If it hadn’t I still would have tipped them.  I did not tip anyone else yet, but I am thinking about sending a tip with a Thank You note to the reception coordinator because she went above and beyond for me.

The photographer and the DJ I did not tip but that was only because I had already spend a lot of money on their services.

I was going to tip my photographer but I read the knot link and it says if they own their own business then no tip.  I will give her a gift.  This tipping thing is so hard especially for those with destination weddings since you also have to consider what is customary in that country.

I know this is different but we just went to an all inclusive resort for our honeymoon in Cancun.  We brought money to tip the waiters and housekeeping even though they say tips are included.  I felt that they deserved a little extra for the excellent service we recieved.  We left a tip for housekeeping every day.  Some days when we would return to the room the tip would still be there, other days it was gone.

I don’t think they expect additional tips at an all-inclusive resort, but I am sure it is appreciated.

As far as the DJ and the photographer I would not feel obligated to tip them if you already feel you are paying a fair price for the service you are recieving.

I have been wondering the same thing! I know I will tip my hair/make-up girl and the waiters for our dinner (if its not already included on the bill). But I am also wondering about the officiant and photographer??? My photographer works for herself and gets 100 percent of the $$ we are paying her so I am thinking I don’t have to tip her.

@noritake22: Thanks for providing that link! According to that we don’t need to tip our officiant (destination beach wedding) or the photographer (owns her own business). We will tip the waitstaff if it isn’t already added to the bill, and of course the hair/make-up girl! The only other thing that applies to us would be the delivery people for the beach set-up, but they are charging us a $100 delivery fee already so I’m not sure if I have to tip them above the fee.
