Good question! The directions in my box didn’t say anything about it. I am curious what others did now too.

From what I understand, to get the best results you do. I was taking mine in the mornings because I figured that, like HPTs, it would be best to take it then when the urine is most concentrated. Apparently that’s not right though because your LH surge (what the OPK is detecting) usually happens in the morning so if you test in the morning that surge is just started and there won’t be enough hormone properties in the urine. That’s why it’s best to test in the afternoon and with concentrated urine. I totally understand, my bladder is teeny tiny and it can get uncomfortable!

Not at all!   Just make sure you don’t use it until afternoon.  I get my best results at around 2pm.

@ecomaha:All “they” say is late afternoon/early evening so I think after 4 would be fine!

My OPKs (Wondfo from Amazon) say try to hold it for at least 4 hours (I don’t drink a lot during that time because I have a small bladder, and the urine gets less diluted, I think) and that the best time to test is between 2pm and 8pm.

Oh wow – I’m expecting my very first OPK to arrive today (Wandfo). This is good information to have. I usually pee every 1-2 hours, so holding it for 4 hours in the afternoon is going to be tough!

While using them I would have lunch at 1pm at work, drink my last sips of water at 2pm, then go home from work and test between 5:30-6pm. It was hard to hold that last hour or so, but I managed somehow!! It’s best to do it later in the day for accurate results.
