Full or half eternity? If full then no unless he taking diamonds out.  but most times full eternity can’t be resize

I have nothing useful to add since I know nothing, but just came to say that thank the good Lord this wasn’t a thread about working out because that is the last thing I need as I sit here with a giant bag of V-day candy on my lap.

It’s doable on some rings. Full eternity bands cannot be sized, 1/2 eternity can to a certain degree (maybe 1 size either way?). I purchased a ring in size 8 and had it sized down to a 4, it had some diamonds on the sides, so they said they had to be careful and had to bend the shoulders down a bit, and re-tightened the prongs on the side stones and it was fine.

So, if it’s a full eternity, RUN. Half eternity or 3/4 with a sizing bar and you have very little to go, maybe.

bitsybee:  Sounds yummy! To answer your question, I would clarify by asking the jeweler what he means (not that it isn’t clear, but just to give him a chance). Also take into account how much up or down we are talking about in size. Eternity rings are definitely not easy to resize and usually have to go back to the manufacturer and pave isn’t easily resized but sometimes do-able. Maybe he’s more talented than most and maybe its going to cost an arm and a leg, not sure but it’s worth asking about and even getting other trusted jewelers’ opinions. What some say is impossible, others say is possible.
