Do I say yes to the dress?!?!

My dress is from David’s. It came in less than three weeks after I ordered it. I doubt that’s typical, but I would be surprised if they can’t get your dress in until May.

It’s up to you what fits your budget. I found a perfect dress at DB but didn’t get it because I didn’t think it was worth going over budget. I ended up being thankful that we bought the cheaper dress.

I think the store is trying to pressure you. Pressuring asie though, if you think this is the one, go for it! A few days to think about it if you’re still unsure won’t make THAT much of a difference.

Well, it is gorgeous. Is there any way you can visit another store or two in the next few days just to put your mind at ease? Wedding dress stores are notoriously pushy, so they may be trying to pressure you, however wedding dresses do have ridiculously long order times and 4-5 months is not the longest I’ve seen so it’s also probably legit. In my experience the dresses usually come in before the predicted dates but if there is a even possibility it will take that long they have to tell you that and order accordingly.

I love the back more than the front, but overall it’s a really pretty dress! Do you love it though? ’Cause it sort of sound like you aren’t sure? Just make sure that you make your decision based on whether or not you love the dress and not because of the store pressuring you about time.

It’s a really beautiful dress! I wouldn’t leave it too late to make a decision, as another Bee said – you often need to order dresses quite far in advance. I picked my dress in March 2017 for my March 2018 wedding, ordered it late April 2017 and it arrived mid-December 2017, so it took nearly 8 months to arrive (an Allure dress shipped to the UK).

So the store isn’t necessarily trying to pressure you, they just want to make sure you don’t order it so late that it can’t be done.

I don’t think they’re using your timeline as a scare tactic. Designer gowns take 6 or more months to come in usually. Mine took every bit of 6 months without a rush fee. If it’s the dress you picture yourself getting married in then do it and quick to avoid rush fees! Best of luck!
