It’s hugely different. You didn’t want a halo – but the halo on your ring looks way more chunky and obvious than your ‘dislike’. πŸ™

You are right…that really looks nothing like the original.  Did the wax mold look like that?  Both the band AND the ‘halo’ are chunky.  Nothing like the examples you provided.  I am so sorry that it didn’t turn out the way you asked.  To me, it doesn’t even remotely resemble that ring.  πŸ™

I agree that they do look very different, but it is still a gorgeous ring! I’m sorry you’re not happy with it. I’m not sure if I have any advice to offer, but try not to get upset when talking with the jeweler. Staying calm and respectful will make him more likely to help you in the long run. (Not saying you WOULD do this, just something to keep in mind!)

    Good luck!

It does look very chunky and very halo-ish.  It would look great w/ the halo removed, and more like the Tacori one you like..

I do think you’re in your rights to say that the ring looks nothing like what you wanted… but the jewelery might use the fact that you signed off on the ‘wax version’ to cover himself. I hope that you can resolve this into something that you want!

aww ok, I would definetly let him know how I feel!! If you guys have known ech other for a while and theres a good comfort zone then by all means BRING IT UP WITH HIM. This is your ring, and you have to love it. And you left this mission in his hands for  him to Make for you. Its his responsiblity to make the ring you want– especially since u paid a big amount of money.. πŸ™

Im sorry your ring didnt turn out the way you wanted it too. hopefully youll get what you want soon!!

@sugarcube: Yeah, I understand – it’s hard too, when you’re caught up in the moment, especially when you just want your ring!

Definitely take copies of all the images you showed him last time, so he can see the obvious differences between what you got & what you wanted. Hopefully he can work with you to make you happier.

OK, your ring is super chunky and doesn’t look like what you asked for. The halo is really obvious, and I wouldn’t ever describe your ring as dainty. I would definitely bring it up with your jeweler tomorrow, though I’m wondering if that might not accomplish anything since you approved it. But bring it up–the worst that can happen is he tells you there’s nothing he can do, in which case, you’re right back here. Not a great place to be, but at least you asked. I’m crossing my fingers that you two can work something out so that you can get the ring you really want!

Yeah, they don’t look the same at all. I would mention it to the jeweler because you’ll probably keep resenting the fact you didn’t speak up about it.
