I’ve always been a little confused about tipping etiquette. I’ve been told I don’t have to tip my wedding day photographer – is this true? What about my boudoir photographer? I have my session this weekend and I don’t want to make a total faux-paus by not tipping her.

You don’t have to tip – I think the general rule is if the person works for a photography company you CAN tip (but a tip is never expected) and if the photographer are their own business you don’t tip.
As a photographer myself, I never expect tips, especially for smaller jobs (boudoir, engagement, etc.). It’s not a faux-pas at all, and I guarantee you your photographer won’t be waiting for a tip. So no worries and have fun with your session!

I didn’t tip mine. Again, it was her own business so you aren’t required to tip the owner of a business.
