I am planning to sew cups in.  I did that for a dress I wore as a maid of honor a few years ago, and it was fine.  I am 34B.

I’m a 34C and had the seamstress sew cups in. It made it much easier because I didnt have to worry about the bra showing at all.

I’m a 34C and I think I’m planning on doing cups. My dress is strapless and my seamstress said that cups will make you feel less secure than a bra and give you that “my dress is falling down” feeling more often…I’m curious to hear what other bees experiences were with cups.

@awcm:  @delicious:  did you guys feel uncomfortably naked underneath? or like you constantly had to pull up your dress?

I did the cups. It was SO nice not to have a bra, but I WAS pulling up my dress a lot. part of that is because i didn’t have her make it too tight because I didn’t want it to make front and back flab that didn’t exist otherwise. If she had done it tighter the way she wanted to then i wouldn’t have had to mess with it.

And to answer the question you asked the other girls, no you don’t feel naked if you have a tight dress.

Because of my chest size, i will probably have to buy a bra. THough i would prefer them just to add cups.

@Bwed2012:  I know!! I went for my first fitting and asked about cups because the back of my dress was too low for the two strapless bras I brought with me. When they put the cups in (obviously they weren’t sewn in or anything) i kept lifting the dress up and she told me that it was going to feel like that even when she sewed them in, but I can’t tell how much of that feeling was because my dress is WAY too big (like @MsJ2theZ: mentioned) and how much is becasue of the lack of bra.

I am definitely wearing a bra – I don’t really have a choice, as I am size 38H :/  The alterations lady asked me to try it w/o the bra, and I was just jiggling all over the place, so that sucker went RIGHT back on.  *sigh*

It is definitely worth trying your dress with and without one to compare though!

I had cups sewn in for my 34D, it worked like a dream! I don’t like bras with wedding dresses because too many times I see the sides or band of the bra sticking out in pictures, which drives me up the wall!
