Hi there 🙂
so this week on Wednesday I have my first dress fitting. I am supposed to bring my wedding shoes but I don’t have any yet!
I am really unsure of whether I should buy shoes and accessories in silver or gold tones. When I bought my dress, the saleswoman said that the dress was creme but on the website it says champagne, though I don’t think it is as dark as champagne. I read somewhere that gold tones would be good for creme colored dresses and I love gold/rosegold! Though I was wondering whether I should get silver shoes/accessories because of the silver sparkly stuff on the dress?
I would very much appreciate any advise and opinions on this!
This is my dress.
And these are some shoes I have been looking at. (All flats because I cannot wear heels due to knee issues.)
P.S. If these pictures turned out to be too big or too small I will try to edit the post. I am still new at this.

I will be watching this thread beause I too am trying to decide whether to go with sliver/gold, and I am also wondering whether gold would go with the bling on the bodice of my dress …

Hmm… your dress isn’t reading too cream/champagne to me. It just looks like a soft white, so you could go either way. The beading on the bodice isn’t so powerful as to push you in one direction– you really do have options! I think if you love gold/rose gold, go for it! I personally LOVE the first pair of flats, with the metallic heel and strap 🙂

I agree with PP, the dress looks soft white. And the sparkles aren’t too “out there”. Do you have one pair of shoes that you’re leaning towards? Maybe that could help make your decision? I like the silver ones with the bling the best, then the first pair with the metallic gold.

A little difficult to tell from the photos, but your dress looks more ivory to me. Is the beading actually silver or is it clear sequins which catch the light? I’d say if the beads are clearly silver, you’d probably be better off with silver jewellery. Do you have any photos which show the detail of the dress a bit more clearly?

@Teresa thanks for stopping by 😀 I checked out your thread on what tiara to get and I felt in your case gold might be the better option.
@missjoy0819 Thanks for your reply! I am glad to hear you think I can go either way. I think I will try buying some shoes in gold tomorrow. If I happen to find a silver pair, I might get that as well so I can try both at the fitting.

I have just now seen the other comments, somehow they were not there/I did not see them when I replied last night.
@mrsaime I think I like the shoes with the strap best, but couldn’t try them on yet. I usually find this kind of heel to be uncomfortable. I am hoping to be able to try them on today though.
@SLfairytale Now that you say it, I do think it might be clear sequins. I had not even thought of that. Im about to leave for work (and am already running late) but later I will see whether I have a better picture. Oh, and if the dress really is ivory, not creme, does that already tell me anything? Does ivory mean rather silver or gold?

I think, if you have ivory, it’s a bit more neutral. There’s less of a yellow tone vs creme . Which means it’s more likely that either gold or silver will look good!

I agree with if the sequins are clear, going any way will work! If they’re silver, I’d personally stick with silver, but like other bees have said, they don’t stick out heaps, so you could pull off gold too.

What colour jewellery do you usually wear?
I’d stick with that as it likely suits your skintone best.
Shoe wise, top or bottom right are my favourites 🙂
