I love those invites, and I don’t see a problem at all.

Our invites didn’t match. We had an upscale wedding, but I chose fun/ pretty casual Vegas themed invites.

I don’t think I have ever compared the invite to the reception decor.  I guess they all matched but I couldn’t tell you for sure.  And honestly the look of the invite is only important to you, your guests really don’t care.

llevinso:  Nope. No one will know the difference. They will open the invite, respond, tack it to their fridge, then toss it away and never give it a second thought. Unless you have Aunt Martha Stewart in your family, no one will think to compare this.

Think of all the weddings you have been invited too and/or attended. How many details of those weddings do you remember… ?

Save money when you can and order the invites.

However, you stated there may be some pale pink… then these invites DO match. Otherwise, they are a great compliment to mint green, ivory, and gold.

llevinso:  You’re totally overthinking it. Go with the invitations you love. Mine didn’t match AT ALL and no one noticed, never-the-less said anything. The invitations are beautiful!

I don’t think many people really notice or care about the invite beyond if it has the details they need on it to make plans.

I chose invites I liked and had them printed as soon as we’d confirmed the venue, date and time and we still haven’t 100% agreed the colours for the day! I can’t say I’d care much about the opinion who would think negatively about me/our wedding because the colour scheme for invites don’t match the day lol

llevinso:  The colors don’t matter at all. If your event is especially formal or especially casual, the invitations should “match” that. But other than that, nobody’s going to notice.

I’d say to about 98% of people this doesn’t matter at all. No one is going to care if it matches. I’m just a massive perfectionist and I want everything to match for mine but I definitely wouldn’t care or really even notice of it was someone else.

I dont think it matters, my grandma told me when I was designing my invitations the only reason you would include color is to let people know what color the bridesmaids are wearing and that some women would shy away from from that color. (not sure if it is true but it sounded legit to me)

I don’t think so – at least, ours sure don’t. Our flowers will be shades of pink and peach with burgundy accents thrown in, and the invitations we chose are white and gold. They do match our venue, which has white and gold pillars, so they are not completely random. I think as long as your invitations match the tone and formality of the event, the exact colors don’t have to match.
