I’m doing baby’s breath with a peacock feather in blue mason jars…super cheap.  Full bouquets, but close to this look:

Silk flowers can actually get pricey pretty quickly. We ended up doing big baby’s breath centerpieces as well–super cheap and super effective! Here’s a pic of our reception:

Another cost-effective option is just to get a bunch of house plants from somewhere like Home Depot. Peace lilies, for example, are inexpensive but look really classy! Cheaper than silk but much prettier, and you can give them away as favours at the end of the night.

I just posted this on another thread. Potted flowers can be very elegant and relatively inexpensive. Lowe’s, Home depot and Ikea often have them on sale.

Another option is to do a breakaway centerpiece. If you have 8 people at a table, you cluster 8 small potted flowers in the center and they double as favors.

You can also use herbs

@orchidblooms:  cute centerpieces if I did this I would go with black and red feathers.

I plan on using a small vase with 3 flowers in it.
