I am a backward bride. I had my Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses picked out LONG before I finally found my lovely. I love them. My girls love them. Everyone is happy, but now I’m a bit worried they don’t ‘go’ with my dress. This is my lovely, lovely girl I realized that I’m not the traditonal long white/ivory dress bride. I love how super cute she is and how awesome she is. (Like myself if you’ll forgive me tooting my own horn. 🙂 )
Now this gorgeous create is my BMs dress. I love how she looks and she can totally be worn again. Now is the BM’s dress to ‘formal’ for my dress or would they flow together and play together nicely? Should I try and find the girls another dress or not worry myself?

I don’t think the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses are too formal at all! I think they’re really classic and will compliment your dress without overpowering it and mimicing it too closely. You can always dress down the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses with the accessories, opt for more costume-y jewelery rather than precious stones or even add a cute hair flower.
regardless, you’ll all look great =)

Both are great and go nicely together. Like Blondie said, they can easily be dressed down and made more playful if you want. But they have that classic look that really goes well with anything.

I dont think they clash at all. I think that they look great together.

I’d classify them both as ‘playful,’ so I think the styles work well together.

I think the length make the brides maids dresses makes them go well with yours. Something to the floor with a shorter dress would be weird. I’m thinking about a ballet length wedding dress too. I’ve seen a couple of people pull of a more vintage 50’s style with a cardigan added to that length. Might be something to think about.
