Hi ladies I have found me dream dress and dream location and I am starting to worry the 2 don’t go together I need to hear your thoughts!
My Venue….Roof top terrace in St thomas….not in the sand…..It’s in October and it will be nice weather there that time of year high 70’s maybe 80 but we are having an evening wedding and it should be around 75

My Dress: Fit and flare with some bling! It was actually not as heavy on as many of the dresses I tried. Also easy to walk in.

I am not the type to do a “so called” beachy dress and get tired of the sterotype of the dress having to match but I wanna hear what others thoughts are on this as well…..Am I just way off in left field here?

I voted that I think they’re fine, though I don’t really think they MATCH. If you love the dress and are comfortable in it, I think you should keep it!

I think they will look gorgous! I love your dress! And that venue is to die for! No one at your wedding is even going to care if your dress matches the venue or not anyways!

I dont think they match per se but its nothing to worry about. the dress looks great and the venue is nice, thats all that matters really

Just because you have a “beachy” venue doesnt mean to say you have to have a beachy dress!
If you love it then go with it 🙂

@shannonh32: That’s my thoughts too that no one will really even notice….I am sooo in love with the dress tears and all the moment I looked in the mirror that I just can’t see myself in any other dress. It is a high end resort and I think I’ll be ok……
I mainly started this poll and thread to see how others view Destination Wedding and dressess b/c many still feel Destination Wedding have to be very simple type of dressess…..I really appreciate honest opinions and views on what others think on this topic!

I think it’s fine; they don’t match persay, but they don’t look out of place either. Plus, you have a stunning venue and a stunning dress!
