I just got measured for a dress, but the measurements seem a little un-proportional to me. If anyone has experience in this category, could you let me know what you think?
Height: 5’3
Weight: 115 pounds
Waist: 28 inches
Hips: 35 inches
Bust: 34 inches (I’m normally a B cup)
Thanks so much, Bees!

I am 5’3″, 125lbs (so you are a little smaller than me)
Bust: 33 (I am a 32D)
Which measurements seem off to you? I was suprised when I was measured that my bust was a size 0 but my hips were a 4. Is something like that throwing you off?

That seems reasonable to me? Try measuring yourself if you’re unsure.
I’m about the same height but 145lbs. Last I measured my waist was 31, hips 41, and bust 34…. if one of us is unproportional it’s me! haha

whitney.fletcher1: Make sure you get Hollow to hem done. Whatever shoes you wear is added in to your height for the dress. For example I’m 5’3 but with my shoes I’m now 5’7. Now you measure from your neckline all the way down to your shoes. So, my hollow to hem is now 58.

whitney.fletcher1: that seems right. If you are going by your weight, don’t because people who are same height and weight can have very different body shapes and measurments. Your figure is almost more of a rectangle, but the numbers sound right. You should be wearing a size 2/4 pants , your shirts small/medium . Your height is what makes your weight quite light. I am not sure what were you expecting when you got measured?

whitney.fletcher1: I size people all the time at work! Your measurements sound proportionate, but you know your body better than we do; what about that do you think sounds off?

whitney.fletcher1: I’d say so; I’m 5’7″ and 118lbs and mine are 34.5 – 26 – 36 (with exercise my waist and hip measurements are usually 0.5 inches smaller). So given that you’re shorter but a bit lighter, I’d say they sound right.

Sounds pretty reasonable to me!
I’m 5’6, 127 lbs, 34-26-37. If you’re worried, grab a cloth measuring tape and double-check! 🙂

No they don’t sound off at all. If you wear junior sizes then you probably have less than a ten inch difference between your waist and hips. Most wedding dresses are designed for people who wear misses sizes with hourglass figures. I hear that Enzoani dresses are designed for more junior figures. So if alteration cost is a concern you might want to look at some Enzoani dresses.
