Hi Bees,
I am wondering if anyone have experienced to do some custom alteration on Casablanca dress? I like Casablanca 1971 but I want to remove the excessive beading at the bottom of the dress ,and add length to the sash. However, a sales consultant told me not to do too much custom alteration on Casablanca dress because it could go wrong very easily. I am struggling right now because I do worry what if the dress didn’t come out the way I like it…
Anyone has made some alteration similar to mine on a Casablanca dress? What’s your thought?

I don’t have any thoughts on the alterations but I love the dress. It is so beautiful 🙂

You won’t even notice the beading in the pics, so whether the beads are there or not doesn’t seem to be a major alteration to me…. same goes with the sash, what could go wrong with adding length to a sash, if you don’t like it, chop it off again.

I don’t know – talk to your seamstress or someone who does this stuff professionally. I had a Casablanca dress as well and it was a challenge for my seamstress to do some of the alterations without ruining the dress. It turned out fine but I just don’t think they are easy dresses to alter… good luck!

one of the sales girls i talked to told me that Casablanca can customize their dresses for you, with a fee of course. so maybe you can have your dress customized by Casablanca.
