Dear J____,

I am the owner of Advantage Bridal.  I find it necessary to respond to your post, which is loaded with misinformation about both my company, my employees and about your order.

1.  We have a 10,000 square foot warehouse full of inventory worth over $1.5 million, and possibly more, since we just bought out one of our competitors.

2. We stock tens of thousands of dollars worth of shoes.  The shoes you ordered are not in stock, so we shipped the I Do shoe stickers and ordered your shoes to be shipped directly to you from Touch Ups.

3.  Touch Ups does not have your size either (size 8), but they informed us that they have a 7.5.

4.  Here is the message that was mailed to you when they told us.

Good Afternoon J_____,

Thank you for your order!

We have just received information from our vendor that the Touch Up Satin Wedding shoes you have selected are not available in size 8. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. However, there is a size 7.5 available if this is an option for you.

Please let me know how you would like to proceed.

Thank you.

5.  We did not say that we were sending you the 7.5.  We merely asked if you wanted them.  You were free to say no.

6.  You wanted to cancel the entire order, but the shoe stickers had already shipped separately, so we were unable to cancel them.

7.  You asked if the shoes had shipped, and we told you that they had not and that we were going to credit you for them.  The customer service person you were working with is expecting a baby in a few weeks and leaves at 1:30 p.m. You emailed her at 1:36 p.m., and she answered you 12 minutes after she got to work the next morning.  You were not treated like you don’t exist.

8.  With regard to your Amazon order, you were told that Touch Ups does not have your size in stock and neither do we.  You will not be receiving any shoes from us.

9.  We ship merchandise as quickly as possible, and we ask our customers for a due date on the order form so we know when they need their orders.

10. We do not have “shady business practices”.   My employees uphold the highest standards of integrity.  We have very strict rules for our customer service and were even secretly shopped by Stella Service, and earned an “Excellent” rating.   They rated us on over 100 aspects of the process, (and even returned their order), and we were judged on that process too.

11.  Any of you are welcome to call me directly and request a tour of our warehouse and offices if you want to verify this information and meet our wonderful employees face to face.  In this day of internet shopping, it is all too easy to anonymously launch attacks such as you did above, and not even consider that you are attacking and distorting the truth about real people who care about doing their jobs well and serving every customer with attentiveness and compassion.  Many of us have been brides and we understand the urgent nature of each order, along with the need for value and quality.

We have been in business for 20 1/2 years and would not have succeeded as we have if the accusations above were accurate.  I can be reached at 310-371-2060 x 221 if anyone is local to Torrance, CA and would like to see our facility.
