25 days my lovely bees and i will FINALLY be a Mrs. I can’t wait. I am working on my music list for the DJ, and he tells me i NEED a DO NOT PLAY list so i started to jot a few down so far i have
-anything Black eyed Peas
-Cotten eyed Joe
– Britney Spears
– Justin Beiber
-Anything that will provoke a Conga Line
– Country Music ( i enjoy it on occasion 🙂 )
– Katy Perry
Any of you been working on your DNP list?

There was just another thread on this.
My addition – the Cha Cha Slide
@AlwaysSunny: i want to put Cha Cha slide on mine too, but it does get people up to dance so im sort of caught lol

We actually had Black Eyed Peas on the do not play list too, and our DJ played “I’ve Got a Feeling,” and we actually ended up loving it in the moment hehe
My strongly emphasized DNPs were anything by John Mayer and Chris Brown. No misogynistic jerks at my wedding, thank you very much!

@sarahbabs: your comment made me laugh, but im not a huge fan of BEP and i HATE the song i got a feeling
Post # 7
@allieluvs21: LOL, we do too! We have even left the room when the song has come on before! But at the wedding, we just laughed about the “Do it. And do it, and do it do it do it” part, and decided it was talking about the honeymoon lol. I’m def not suggesting playing it, but in the moment, it doesn’t really matter if something random happens 🙂

- Wedding: January 2013 - Harbourfront Grand Hall
The Wedding Wobble! Mambo No. 5, etc. I’m not a fan of anything cheesy old or with coreographed dances.

…you know, sometimes bad music makes for a great party….it gives everyone something to rise up together against and really brings a group of people together…plus, and I might get a load of crap for this, never underestimate the power of disco…as long as the Baby Boomers roam this Earth, disco will not die and I can tell you with certainty that most of them know how to trip the light fantastic since it occupied every Saturday night of their 20’s! My Dad and I rocked out to the BeeGees at my cousin’s wedding, I could not believe it, Dad was Fred Astaire to that crap!

Agree with those saying sometimes you end up having funny or good moments during songs you dislike – I absolutely HATE the song Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO, but it played at our wedding and a giant hilarious dance circle formed, even my grandparents ended up rocking out in the middle of the dance circle at one point, it was amazing!

@MrsWBS: I was just going to suggest cupid shuffle, such a no go for us

Anything Disco. That genre should stay in the past.
