- Wedding: September 2012
I hired Ryan to film my wedding in September 2012. On the day of my wedding, he texted me to tell me that he was sending another videographer (TZ) to film my wedding instead. I was disappointed, but I figured that whoever he would send should do a good job.
Fast forward… a month after my wedding, I emailed Ryan because I had not heard from him and I had been expecting my videos a week after the wedding. He said that he would be getting it to me within the next week…. that week passed and I emailed again. It took TWO MONTHS to FINALLY get my ONE dvd of poor quality (I had been promised 5 blue-ray dvds) where the video did not match up with the audio. The editing was HORRIBLE. The raw footage that was sent to me, part of it would not even play. The only thing that had been included on the dvd was the 5 minute highlights and the 30 minute video… no chapters or anything that had been promised. My dog (who was my ring bearer) was not included, but shots of someone else’s dog was included in the video. The maid of honor’s speech was not filmed either… some of the video was yellow hued too. This is NOT an HD camera!!! what were the TWO videographers doing at that time?
I immediately emailed Ryan and he was very apologetic and promised to try to fix things for me and that he would try to get it to me within the next week. … and THEN I find out that Ryan never even seen/edited the video. Without my knowledge or consent, he delegated full responsibility of my ENTIRE wedding to TZ, including editing and all. A few weeks later, he tells me he is having trouble with getting the video/raw footage from TZ. I tried to be very nice and very understanding and told him that I was very upset and Ryan said he would do whatever he could to get the video and fix it the best he could. I told him ok and that I just really really wanted my raw footage (maybe I could pay someone else to make it good for me…?)
Four months after my wedding, I FINALLY got the raw footage (that would play) from TZ. I emailed Ryan and told him that I received my raw footage, but demanded that I should get some money back in return. To this day, I have not heard back from him.
Bottom line… I will be filing this in small claims court and I advise that any bride who is considering using Element weddings to use ANYONE else.
