Wow I have had some crappy customer service in my life but this takes the cake!
Most of you know, I’m a wedding coordinator – I’m doing a lot of extras for a friend and one of these things was designing and ordering labels and seals for her invites from Magnet Street.
Well the items arrive, in flat sheets, in a bubble mailer. No cardboard backing to prevent bending and crushing and wouldn’t you know, that’s exactly what happened. The seals, that were for the invite closure were destroyed. Bent, crumpled, at one point had something round slammed on them because there’s a perfect round indentation on them – all the way through the 4 sheets.
So I called, expecting them to happily fix the issue and apologize. Well they were happy t fix the issue – on their own time. I was told, and these are exact quotes:
“We’ve put a rush on your order but I don’t know if that means they will be done by monday” WHAT – it’s 75 square lables they claim were moved to the front of the line but it being Thursday and all, they can’t tell me when they will be done since it’s so very late in the week…..
Same thing on shipping, she said (and again, I quote) “Well I can call you on Monday and let you know how it’s going, we should…no, well, ok yeah we should be able to ship by Monday” WHO SAYS THAT!
When you ef up you go out of your way to fix it. All of these comments came, after cutting me off in one of those “overly sarcastic happy tones” that make you want to reach through the phone and slap the you-know-what out of someone.
I explained I needed something to tell my client and she said “Well I can tell you we will ship on Monday for sure” I thanked her and said that was great they could guarantee it – she then said – and this is the icing on the freaking cake “Oh, no I can’t actually promise we will ship it, but I’ll tell you anything you want to hear if it makes you feel better”
I’ve called her manager and am waiting for a call back, but something tells me no one there is going to have a care in the world for their business or making up anything they screw up. I’m on a deadline, invites have to be made and finished.
So please don’t give this company your business! Wow – how rude! God forbid they screw up something even more time sensitive.
