If another bee expresses their (negative) opinion about… (for example, ring styles, carat size, diamonds, moissys, CZs, sapphires, other stones, no stones, no ring, rose gold, yellow gold, white gold, clusters, brilliants, princess cuts, emerald cuts, heart shaped diamonds, three stones, platinum, palladium, titanium, what they think classy, tacky, modest, gaudy, poor quaily, too yellow, ring stacks, “intricate” settings, plain settings, too much, too little, what is ugly, beautiful, too pricey, over your standard-rings, too cheap, he cheaped out, who payed for the ring, who chose the ring, changeing the ring, heirlooms, diamond ethics, finger size, finger coverage, loans to buy a ring, claw prongs, bezel settings, vintage rings, second hand rings…. etc) …anything that you could read as criticism against your own ring, does this affect you?
Is negative comments about some aspects of the ring more hurtful than others? (Size, price and stone material, for example, seems to be sensitive topics when it comes to e-rings.)
Elaborate in the comments below!
(This thread is not about me personally, I don’t even have a ring yet! 🙂 Please, no snarkyness. All people react differently to critisism and everyone is entitled to their feelings. I think it is a interestng subject since it looks, from what I have read, like so many of the discussions about any of named subjets gets really heated and almost every time someone seems to get hurt or take offense. I just wanted to give everyone a chance to speak up in a neutral thread, and give people a chance to make others more aware of what can be hurtful to read. Since I am sure no one on here wants to hurt a sister bee on purpose.)
