I asked my husband directly, and conversation went like this:

Me: Would you be intersted in having boudoir photos of me?

Him: What photos?

I showed him some examples on the internet.

Him: I am confused. But why would I need pictures when I can just look at the real thing?

Me: Because the pictures are professional and therefore more beautiful.

Him: No… That’s like saying a postcard, because it’s professional, is more beautiful than the actual place… Nothing can be.

My hubby wants me to get a book of pictures done for him! It’s just something fun and excited for him to have. We have been together over 8 years now. ive lost weight and after I lose the rest I want, I’m totally gonna do it for an anniversary gift! It’ll make me feel sexy to have the pics done after two kids, and excite him with something new..

No, I dont think they are worth it. Just like I dont think engagement photos are worth it(which I think always look cheesy). LIke another poster said I’m sure men dont know they exsisit and why waste the $$. Besides, when you die who gets em?

AndysCraftsNmore:  I was considering it, and asked my Fiance what he thought. His reply was that why would he look at a picture of me, when the real me was right there? Followed by “….would that mean someone would see you nekkid? No. Don’t do those.”

sweetestsin:  +1  and men know these exist so he would have put in a request by now if he wanted that.

AndysCraftsNmore:  but you can achieve the look for him privately if you want to try that out.

I’m doing them, probably more for myself than my Fiance. I love the cute looks you can do with the vail etc and will prob get a black and white print for my closet wall. He knows I’m doing them and is very excited! I used to model so I’m pretty used to being in undies around strangers so it’s NBD to me and the Fiance dsnt care.

Something like this, that’s more cute than overly sexy/suggestive though!

AndysCraftsNmore:  I am doing a session ONLY because my photographer is a friend of mine and it was included in my wedding package (because she is a friend anyone else it is an add on to the package) . I have lost 75 lbs and counting so it’s kinda for both of us it will be waiting in the Honeymoon Suite for after the wedding…..I wanted NO CHANCE of his Brother, Bestfriend, Dad, Uncle or Mom seeing them in the Grooms room at our venue. None will be naked…like i said i’ve lost 75 lbs but i still have more to go. They will be in a Baseball Jersey, His favorite dress shirt, Lace Boxers and my Mens “Bride” dress shirt for my getting ready day of and a his favorite nightgown of mine.

I don’ have to ask because i know him so well but he will LOVE them.

Had this conversation with the fiance.

His opinion: the photos themselves were just eh. He gets to have the real thing, so what’s a picture? What’s sexy about it if I were to do it is the thought that I went out and did it bc its a more or less gutsy thing to do to strip to your underwear and lay on a bed for a photog.

He also said that the majority of the outfits that girls think are “sexy” to him aren’t sexy. He says that heels and makeup and corsets in most boudoir photos just look silly to him. like Halloween costumes. He said if I did them he’d want me to be natural. like barefoot with a t shirt and undies hair down and natural makeup.

FutureMrsHouy:  I figured there or our personal bathroom. Places only we would really see and appreciate it! I totally want to be able to look back in twenty years and be like yup I was a babe haha.
