@PinkMagnolia:  I don’t know what parent wouldn’t want an album to remember such a special day.

Some parents may but mine are not sentimental so an album would be wasted on them. I purchased some nice quality frames and will be giving our parents some framed pictures as part of their Christmas gifts. I did make my IL’s an album since they’re supposed to be getting one from my Brother-In-Law & SIL’s wedding but I think they could have done without it.

@USER876: My parents. Some people just aren’t that sentimental. If we spent the time and money to make an album for them they would like it for like a day and never look at it again. I’d prefer to put that money towards some nice frames for them to display a few chosen pictures in their home. Besides, they have their own copy of our wedding disk so they can see the pictures whenever they like.

I have to say many don’t! Mine did not. Most people are not nearly as interested at looking at the wedding pictures as the couple themselves. They just wanted a couple cute shots to frame. Especially if they are the crazy expensive nice type of professional album, if they’re not going to LOVE it just skip it. OR you can just spend the money on a nice album for yourselves and just do blurb or Adoramapix albums for your parents/grandparents. You only need 1 to be a family heirloom (if you’re into that).

We did but we wanted to pick out our favorites to have in it. I sent her the ones I wanted and she had it made for us.

We are using Adoramapix to make photobooks for our families. Both sides started giving us lists of photos that they wanted within a few days of our online photo gallery going up, so I know they are very excited for the pics. But if that isn’t your family’s thing, it’s definitely not necessary to give them an album.

I’ll be giving albums to both sets of parents after the wedding as their gift. I think both would really appreciate having an album and being able to show our pics to their friends.

Mine has told me about 7 times now exactly what they want – a collection of 4x6s in an album (the type you slide them in & out of the pages is fine), a mix of professional and personal is fine.  They’ve showed me my siblings albums as samples of what they want 7 times as well.  I’m pretty sure I’ve got the picture.  🙂

I’ll probably get a nicely bound album for myself & Fiance & will make a couple cheapy smaller albums for the family. I know my Mother-In-Law will like an 8×10 more than an album because she’s a no-clutter freak.

Our parents did! They even got specialized albums with all their favorite pictures as Thank You gifts from us. They adore them and love showing them off.

Infact, we even gave my grandparents small albums as well just as an additional Thank You. Blurb has become our best friend.
