Can you change your voicemail message and stop picking up your phone? Maybe just say “Hi you’ve reached tweettweet, I’m really sorry I missed you. If you’re calling for info regarding the wedding, please refer to our website http://www.___________.com. See you Sunday!”. Also set up a vacation reply on your email along the same lines. It may save you some aggravation!

Congrats and good luck on Sunday hon! Deep breaths, you’re nearly there!

I agree about changing the voicemail!  You shouldn’t have to deal with the calls this close to the wedding anyway!  If someone is important, they can find you in person!

I agree with the ladies above, bakerella that is a great idea!  Like MisAsB said you shouldn’t be forced to deal with that.

Congrats and enjoy your wedding, best wishes for all you dreamed!!!!Laughing

I am anticipating this and earlier today, I was already daydreaming about the voicemail message I’m going to leave on my phone! 🙂 I hope it works.

wow, that’s ridiculous! yeah, I was surprised with how few people used the website (I used a blog-style that automatically tracked how many “hits” we had). Change your voicemail to just say you are busy getting ready to be married and you won’t be able to check your voicemail or return calls for a couple of weeks. People should be able to figure out who to go to. Have you mom forward them to your Maid/Matron of Honor or another contact.

Some do, but most do not.  People apparently didn’t even look at our invitations, based on the fact that people wrote on our guestbook when we asked them for their favorite memory of the wedding day, “We had a hard time finding the venue”.  That was their favorite part of the day?  Seriously?  Some people are just mean!

We put a map in the invite as well as detailed directions.  We also put directions from the church to the venue on the back of the ceremony program.  How hard can it be?  People don’t look at anything these days!

the ladies above have great ideas…  i’m totally going to pull that when i get down to the wire!

we currently have 1135 hits on our website – with a total of 116 people invited.  150 hits in the past week (since the invites went out).  I’m certain at least a hundred or so are from me and other brides just checking out the site….  but people are definitely looking at it!

For those of you who aren’t down to the wire yet, Fiance & I also hooked up our website to Twitter & created a Facebook page just for the wedding…the FB page & our tweets are ONLY about anything newly posted on the website & reminders about what you can find there.  Everyone in my family (except my grandparents & paternal aunt, who’s 10 years older than my dad) has a FB account, as well as all our friends (FI is notoriously the only one who doesn’t), so I think we get quite a bit of traffic on our site & a LOT less questions. We also out up a blog, again just to share updates to the website.  Granted, our website is a bit more interactive…we’ve got a Guest of the Week page, a guessing game about our DVD STD, as well as the usual info about venue directions, accomodations, things to do, registry, & attire; so if your website doesn’t have that many updates, the FB, Twitter, & blog route might be overkill, but it saves on phone & text traffic.

Judging by the 4,000+ hits at our site, I would assume they do. We put the URL on the STD cards and invitations too.
