I’m 5’7, about 140 lbs, hopefully 130ish in two months for the bachelorette party/wedding so I’m not overweight at all, pretty average but would like something to wear under tight dresses to smooth me a little (mostly my love handles), soo….
are Spanx worth it? Any particular style or brand you suggest?

Spanx can work but you need the right size or they will roll or leave a line. Make sure you try them on with something fitted over it before buying.

I ordered a pair of them that were meant to control the belly online. They looked sorta like bike shorts with a really high waist. I was very disappointed and I returned them. I wasn’t really impressed. The make everything look pretty smooth but I looked even worse in overall shape and my butt looked horrible. Maybe I didn’t have the right pair for me. I think it would be best to try on a few of them at a department store as opposed to online ordering.

Mine works wonders. I’m not overweight, but I have belly wobble, and the spanx completely eliminated that.
Although the downside is that it makes my already flat butt even flatter.

Hmm, Macy’s (my preferred department store) sells a different brand.. maybe I’ll try Nordstrom’s

I would definetly get a brand that has the “no slip grip” on the inside. Makes it so the stomach portion and the legs dont bunch or roll. I just bought a pair from Soma like that and they are great

They work… but they hurt my stomach. I was hoping to get rid of bloat due to a tummy condition, but it also hurt too much to wear. It did flatten me out though!

I love spanx. Actually, I wear them on a daily basis becuase they work so well. The kind I wear look like normal underwear but with a high waist.
