    ya it’s fine except for the shall. it makes it look a little older. I think though that if just your mom wore it as the Mom and the Maid/Matron of Honor it would look appropriate.

    The dress in the original post does not look like a mother of the bride dress. That said, many dresses online that are listed as being for mothers look much more like standard bridesmaid dresses instead of what mothers typically wear or are comfortable in.

    i would wear the dress your mom picked out only if i could cut the sleeves off…that’s what makes it look matronly.

    I think if your bridesmaids are happy, then it works. Maybe have them wear no shawl?

    Oooh sorry i clicked the wrong option i think it looks great as bridesmaid dress, and moh/mob dress.  I like the fact that it has a detachable shawl, maybe the bridesmaids can remove it and your mom/moh can keep it.  PS i think its awesome that your mom is your moh.Laughing
