I’m having a rustic/vintage themed outdoors wedding. Everything is very DIY. My colors are pewter (dark grey) and marigold (rich yellow). Would these invitations match my theme? It reminded me of the string lights that run from the barn to the water tower at our venue.
I bought the DIY invites from Target. They were on sale (50% off) from $35 to $17.50 for 50 invites and 50 reply cards w/ envelopes.
Do you think it looks too modern to match a rustic vintage theme?

They are cute but they also remind me of those branches that have tiny berries on them.

They also remind me of stringed up cafe lights as well. The right font will also help set the tone as well. Nice job!

They are pretty but the abstract/linear nature of the print makes them look a little too modern for the look you are going for. Maybe you could play around with font to make it look more rustic?

It can definitely work. Use a font that looks vintage to tie it all together, then seal with a cute sticker in one of your colors.

I think they are definitely more on the modern side than rustic.

I see a little bit of moderness, but only because you pointed it out. I think it looks more rustic than modern. If you use the right font and color it could help move it even closer on the rustic scale.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I am on the hunt for just the right font to give it that vintage feel. I’m also thinking about tying ribbon somewhere on it that may give it the rustic/vintage look. =)
