Well, we bought our wedding bands yesterday! EEP! I wanted to get a few opinions because, yes, I’m a weirdo and put ZERO thought into my wedding “band”. Here is my e-ring:
I just assumed I would get a band that would come as close to matching my channel settings as possible. When I tried it on, fiance wasn’t really feeling it. The lady asked about enhancers, wraps, or whatever you want to call it? We were open to options because we hadn’t really talked about rings at all…(once again, weird I know) I didn’t want anything too “blingy”. I love my e-ring and wanted it to be the main focal point!
Here is the enhancer by itself and together”
We decided that we weren’t going to show out families since it’s the one thing that can be our semi-secret. We sent a picture to my sister because we were bursting with excitement (and I knew it would add fuel to my Mom’s fire, haha) She was shocked and thought that they didn’t match at all 🙁
I’m not very good at this stuff!!! We have 30 days to exchange it for something else if we want to, so what do you think? Enhancer a bad idea, or is it just this one that looks bad?

Your sister is right: they don’t match but somehow I love the look of the enhancers with the e-ring. It’s so different and in my opinion rings do not have to match, just a matter of personal taste.

Honestly I’m not really a fan of enhancers/wraps – I’m not really sure why, just not my taste. But I think yours actually looks pretty together. It doesn’t match, but I don’t think it necessarily needs to. I am planning on getting a rose gold diamond wedding band even though my ering is white gold – doesn’t match, but I like the look together so who cares? I’m not really a fan of matchy-matchy stuff. If you like it then great, but if you aren’t sure then maybe go back and look around just to ensure that you got the one you’re okay with wearing for the rest of your life.

The styles don’t match. Your Engagement Ring has a square stone with a channel set straight line of diamonds, and the enhancers are swoopy and pave set. If you want the look of an enhancer I’d get two VERY skinny (1-2 mm) pave or channel set bands for either side.

I love the look you have here. I think it’s eye catching and different.

@GoldfishPie: I agree. It isn’t my taste but if you love it that is all that matters!

Honestly, I’m not feeling it. But you are wearing it and if you like it, who cares what people think.
I do feel you can get a beautiful, matching band that would compliment it well.

I think it’s a match because it doesn’t match! I love the swirly rings against the straight lines of your ering. It is a very artistic and unique look — I love it!!!

Thanks, bees, for all of the opinions! I’ve thought long and hard about this…ALL day long…and I’m keeping it! My first thought when it was pulled out of the case was, “What the..? That’s not going to match.” Then I put it on and actually loved it. Fiance insisted that it was the one so…it must be! I snuck it out of the box again Heheh.
In my opinion, pictues just don’t do our babies justice. AND I have a newfound love for mismatched ring sets. Happy planning!
