Ouch! If you’ve had ankle surgery, why not wear flats? There are a few flats threads running around here with some really cute shoes!

Too chunky. The dress is very streamlined and elegant. The shoe should be likewise.

I love those shoes and I think they’d look great with your dress!   Although, since you just had ankle surgery, I’d think twice about such a high heel.

Hahaha. Apparentally I know nothing about shoes. These were my thoughts: “Pretty dress. Cute shoes. The shoes are white. The dress is white. The shoes are formal. The dress is formal. Why not?” Disregard my “yes” vote. I am uneducated. 😉

@dhonaile:  Where can I find the shoes you last posted?

@dhonaile:  I completely understand the height difference!  I’m 5 feet tall and Darling Husband is 6’2″!  Totally with you on the need for heels!!!

Sounds like you have some time for your ankle to recoup and to get it used to the heels.  You could always wear these shoes for the ceremony and pictures, then have a backup pair of lower heeled shoes in case your ankle gets tired or starts to ache.

LOVE the second pair too!  I think both pairs would look great with your dress!

The second ones are better than the first, but I would definitely go for something more delicate and less chunky because of the style of your dress.
