I have a pair of shoes that I’m considering wearing with my wedding dress. I’ve always loved the look of colored shoes and I love the shoes and the dress separately, but now that I’ve been thinking about them together, I’m starting to wonder if it all looks too busy? Would it be better for me to go with a white or silver shoe?
Here’s my dress and then the shoes. What do you guys think?

Beautiful dress and shoes, but I don’t think they work that well together. I don’t think it’s the fact that the shoes are colored that bother me, but more of the fact that they are so glittery and rough looking- which I don’t feel coincides with your very romantic, soft dress. I think if you wanted colored shoes a smooth satin might look best.
Of course I think white or silver would also look awesome!

I agree that seperately they are awesome but together it might look to much of opposing forces. However if you just really want those shoes as I really really want them in gold then buy them and wear them because you will be so stoked to get to wear them after the wedding.

GORGEOUS! both of them! i bet they are going to look awesome together! im a huge fan of glitter and what a fun little bit to have when you lift up your dress and they sparkle!

I think the styles of the two would be fine together! I love the grown-up ruby slippers look
My only question would be about the color of the gown sash vs the shoes? I think the color in the picture (looks kinda gray-brown-purple on my computer) might not work with the color of the shoes, but if you’re using no sash or a different color sash or my screen color is totally off, I say go for it!

Thanks everyone. You guys are either confirming my fears or enabling me to just wear them anyway 🙂 I’ll probably just look around for white or silver shoes and see if anything else pops out to me.
bohemianbailie – I ordered the shoes in gold and they are AMAZING! The gold is actually multicolored with much smaller glitter and look incredible up close. Unfortunately, my size is really hard to come by and the ones I ordered didn’t fit. But I could totally see wearing the gold ones for other occasions too!

I’m not 100% sold on the shoes and the dress together, but they are GORGEOUS individually! So, so, so pretty!

I think they’d be awesome together! What’s wrong with glamming it up, it’s not like they’re going to be seen the entire time?

gorgeous dress and shoes!

I agree with the above ladies. I don’t think going with colour is the issue, more the rough look with the softer looking dress. But both are really awesome individually! 🙂

I love both! That dress is freakin’ gorgeous! And I think they’d look awesome together. That dress is like a updated Cinderella dress and those shoes are like shoes Dorothy would wear if she didn’t live in Kansas. I think you’ll look great if you wear them together!

I just wanted to update that my dress finally came in so I went and tried it on with the shoes and they totally worked! So it goes to show that you really can’t know until you try things on and see them in person. Probably obvious advice, but maybe helpful to someone else who’s being completely indecisive about something.

they’re nice seperate, but are both very different style-wise….something like these are a little more simple…but still gorgeous!

Both are beautiful individually, but I don’t think they go well together.
I’d suggest a simpler shoe, something like the Manolo rhinstone buckle right above this post… or it’s Aldo knockoff. 🙂
