    Definitely not!!!!!

    Not really

    Kinda, yeah.

    Yes, sorry, but yes!

Do it, but not the "blurbs"

Do it, and include the "blurbs"

I’ve been to several weddings where the couple did this and I LOVED looking at the photos and reading the blurbs, it allows the guests to get to know the couple a bit better and makes the wedding more personal. I strongly disagree with anyone who thinks it makes you look ‘cocky’ or ‘conceited’…

@dganntech:  I guess saying I would think it was cute if I saw it at someone else’s wedding & telling the OP I think it is fine, but defending others’ right to have varying opinions & stating I would be uncomfortable with something at my own wedding makes me a jealous B. I fail to see what I said that would indicate jealosy, but to each her own.

@Snow00774: Your reasoning makes sense to me! My Fiance and I are both private people so even having a wedding (and fighting the instinct to elope) makes me feel like we’re exposing ourselves in a way that’s not entirely natural for us. But we wanted to “let people in” by sharing the day with them. So I do get where you’re coming from!

I think I get why some people think it will be cocky as some people didn’t get a chance to travel around the world as much, so they may think this is a way of couple SHOWING OFF (trust me, I have seen some people doing this on this particular reason). And of course some guests might get jealous.

I personally think it’s pretty cute, especially sound like OP is putting up camping trip among other things too.  I don’t see it as a way to show off their worldly adventures and I get to know them better a little bit too πŸ™‚

I always like going to weddings where the couple put in personal touch.  It’s always nice to see customized stuff like this.

I like the idea. The only suggestion I would add is to also have a number attached… or put them in alphabetical order. Otherwise guests will be wandering around the tables searching theirs out.

I think this is a fantastic idea! if someone goes through any trouble to come to your wedding I would think they would want to know about your lives and see pictures of you! its not THEIR wedding!

In fact, I might do this and copy you! SO THERE! πŸ™‚

We wanted to do this for our wedding as we met whilst travelling in China and then went through a long distance international relationship with many of our reunions being on holidays halfway between Australia and the US.  We thought it exemplified our relationship perfectly and would have been a sweet touch.

Unfortunately, my mom and sister were very against the idea and thought it would be bragging to everyone about all the cool places we’d been and rubbing people’s faces in the fact that we’re very well travelled.  I let myself be talked out of it and I regret that – especially as travel is what brought us together and how we built our relationship (amongst other things of course!)

Bottom line – I’m glad you are not listening to your friends and instead following through on this idea.  I think your guests will appreciate the personal touch and it gives people something to talk about at their tables.
