I’m probably going to do something similar to this at our wedding. We have been to some pretty exotic locations, but I dirve a 12 year old car and we don’t eat out so that we can afford our vacations. Any of our friends or family would lknow that travel is important to us, so I’m not worried.

What if you incorporated the picture into the centerpiece? This would make it look like it belongs there instead of just on the table and looking like, what is this doing here? If you have square vases in your centerpieces, see about incorporating a photo into the side of the vase so that you can still proudly display the pictures tastefully. It isn’t cocky of you to place photos of yourself around the reception area, as it is YOUR wedding day. Just make sure you do so in a tasteful manner.

Cocky?! That’s bizarre. It’s a personal touch, that will teach people a little something about you as a couple that they might not have known before! They would be able to go around to other tables to learn about your various trips 🙂
And if they would be offended by looking at your picture during dinner… maybe they shouldn’t be at your wedding 😉

I don’t think it’s cocky whatsoever. I think it’s a cute personal touch. I completely agree with the previous posters, it sounds like that person is jealous. As someone who is not able to travel often, I can understand feeling a little disappointed when hearing of others vacations and wishing I could travel more. However, I would not be offended, mad, or jealous if I saw pictures from vacations that a couple took on the tables at their wedding. It is their wedding! It’s all about those two.
