I know that to go to Alaska you have to take an anti-terriosm class and get approved. I was wondering to go to Hawaii do they need to get permission too? I was just wondering if anyone knew 🙂

wow, i didn’t know about all that, but from what i understand, if you’re leaving the continental US, or leaving the country, leave papers are supposed to have very precise dates, so as not to run into issues with local LE on awol concerns. now, this is my experience from a few years ago, i don’t know about now.

I would assume so, but don’t know for sure. I know it’s considered an overseas PCS (at least in the Navy), but as far as travel, I am not sure. I would say yes, but check with the next level of command or whoever approves the leave. They would be able to give you more details I would think.
